The BMCC Business Excellence Awards was established in 2018 to celebrate the long-standing business relations between the UK and Malaysia by recognising and honouring the best of UK and Malaysian companies across various achievement categories. Through our momentous annual iterations, the Awards symbolise an epitome of recognition offered to companies that have excelled and progressed in the business landscape of both countries.

The Annual Business Excellence Awards Gala Dinner is the Chamber’s largest and most prestigious event, recognised for its night of spectacular and joviality among our distinguished guests comprising C-suite executives, professionals and government leaders. With the BMCC celebrating its 60th Anniversary, this year’s Gala Dinner will be amplified to signify this important milestone of UK-Malaysian Business Excellence. This acclaimed jubilee event awaits your organisation’s participation in celebrating and reminiscing on how far the BMCC has traversed to be where it is today – a catalyst of change and continuous reciprocity among our fellow esteemed business leaders and members.

Commemorating 60 Years of the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and Celebrating the 4th Business Excellence Awards

We successfully celebrated 60 years of the Chamber’s unwavering commitment to fostering and strengthening business relations between the United Kingdom and Malaysia, while acknowledging the exceptional accomplishments of both nations’ business communities through the 4th Business Excellence Awards.

The Gala was a testament to the remarkable journey the Chamber has embarked upon over the past six decades. Over 600 distinguished attendees, including C-suite executives, professionals, and government officials, gathered to commemorate the BMCC's 60 years of fostering change and continuous reciprocity among esteemed business leaders and members.

A big thank you to our Guests of Honour for gracing the event:

YB Liew Chin Tong
Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI)
Mr Richard Graham
The UK Prime Minister's Trade Envoy to Malaysia

“This year's Gala Dinner holds special significance as we celebrate the BMCC’s 60th Anniversary. It is an occasion to reflect on our journey and the remarkable progress we've made in advancing 'UK-Malaysia Business Excellence,' the spirit and essence of our Chamber. The support and unwavering dedication of our members, both British and Malaysian companies, have been the prime catalysts in the Chamber's success and in strengthening the business ties between the two nations."

Mark Arthun
Chairman, British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce

The Gala provided a remarkable opportunity to reflect on the BMCC's journey, highlighting the remarkable progress made in advancing "UK-Malaysia Business Excellence." Over the years, the chamber has witnessed significant achievements, groundbreaking partnerships, and exemplary leadership that have propelled its success and strengthened the business ties between the two nations.

As part of the celebrations, the 4th Business Excellence Awards recognised exceptional companies and individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their respective fields. These awards not only acknowledged their outstanding achievements but also served as a benchmark for others to strive for greatness.

This year's Awards witnessed an overwhelming number of outstanding nominations across various categories. With so many strong submissions, the assessors and judges decided to acknowledge the first and second runners-up for the first time!

All the award nominees have, in one way or another, contributed to the ever-growing UK-Malaysia trade relationship. Bilateral trade increased 8.9% and reached £5.6bn in 2022. With the UK having concluded negotiations to join the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), British and Malaysian businesses will soon be able to take full advantage of the new opportunities ahead.”

British High Commissioner to Malaysia
Chair of the BEA Judging Panel
